Venues

If you spent hours / days planning a camp for 30 cubs and leaders and booked a venue with enough dormitories, bought all the food, arranged for a service crew and transport of equipment and young people to camp and then only 50% turned up you would be quite understandably disappointed.
Unfortunately we are now sending out Training Administration Fee letters to adults who simply do not turn up to Modules without letting the Module leader know. The adults:

• Had agreed the date with their Training Advisor;
• Had been send an initial letter confirming their place by the County Training Administrator;
• Had received joining instructions approximately 10 days prior to the module and asked to confirm their attendance / advise if unable to attend

Remember, if you book a Module you have an obligation to attend. Put it in your diary.

If you can't attend, it only takes an email or telephone call to let someone know - this should be at least 7 days prior to the module. We can then offer your place to an adult on the waiting list.
(and next time, it could be you on the waiting list who could have gone, if the 50% of the 'no shows' had let us know in time)
