David Jones - LTM Wellingborough

David Jones is the Local Training Manager for East Northamptonshire, responsible for Wellingborough and Rushden Districts. Prior to this role he was the ADC Adult Training for Wellingborouh District. He has been a member of the Training Team for 4 years. He has been instrumental in developing the web site as a channel for supporting adults and also supports the Training Team with their technical queries

He has run Initial Training courses and tutored regularly on Leadership Training 2 courses, Leadership Training 1 (Venture Scout) courses and Introductory courses. He also ran Getting Organised courses for Venture Scouts. Prior to his Adult Training roles, his adult roles have been as ADC VS (Wellingborough), ADC VS (Castle Ashby), DVSL (Wellingborough), VSL and AVSL with Five Wells Venture Scout Unit (Wellingborough) having started off as an ASL at the 17th Wellingborough.

As a young person David was a Cub Scout and Scout with 12th Wellingborough Cubs, transferred to the 17th Wellingborough when it opened and was a Venture Scout with Five Wells Venture Scout Unit. He held roles on the Unit Executive Committee as QM, Treasurer and Chair during his time with the Unit. He gained his Queen Scouts Award and participated in both London Venture and European Venture. He has cycled around Holland on a Unit Expedition, gone White Water Rafting in Austria and camped in Germany, Luxembourg, Austria and Holland as well in UK (ie Wetton)!

David has gained Facilitating Training and Presenting Training Competencies. He also holds a GNAS Community Leader Award for Archery.
